Effective July 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Shema. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. We've kept them short and in plain language.
Shema lets you record, upload, or import sermons and turns them into transcripts, summaries, flashcards, insights, narration, and devotionals, and gives you Bible reading and audio. Some features use AI.
You keep all rights to the audio, notes, and photos you add. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process that content and deliver the features above — for example, sending audio to be transcribed and summarized. We do not sell your content. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Use Shema lawfully. Don't upload content you don't have the right to use, and don't try to break, overload, or misuse the service.
Summaries, translations, flashcards, insights, and devotionals are generated by AI from your content. They can contain mistakes and are study aids, not a substitute for reading Scripture yourself or for pastoral guidance. Please use discernment.
Shema is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, Shema is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these terms; we'll change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
